Bicarbonate is good for a lot

DIRTY WOODEN CUTTING BOARDS. Dust with bicarbonate, scrub with a brush and rinse with warm water. The bicarbonate absorbs the dirt but does not damage the wood.

UGLY STAINS IN YOUR TEA/COFFEE CUP? Fill the sink with hot water and about 1 dl of bicarbonate, stir and place the porcelain in the bath. Wait 30 minutes and then wash as usual.

DIRTY SINK? Moisten the sink with hot water, sprinkle bicarbonate over and rub with a kitchen sponge.

DO YOUR HANDS SMELL LIKE ONION OR GARLIC? Rub them with a bit of bicarbonate after cutting onions or garlic and rinse with cold water.

STOP THE DRAIN. When the water starts to flow slowly in the sink or basin, it's time to try to dissolve any blockages and deposits. First pour bicarbonate into the drain. Then fill with vinegar until it starts to bubble and fizz. Let the mixture work for a while before pouring in really hot water.

BAD ODOR IN SHOES. Can be removed by pouring in some bicarbonate and leaving for half an hour. Then vacuum.

BAD ODOR IN THE GARBAGE CONTAINER. To reduce bad odors in the waste container, you can sprinkle some bicarbonate at the bottom of the waste container.

Do not use bicarbonate on surfaces that scratch easily. If you are unsure, test a small area first.
